Job description
The Technical Lead will oversee the day-to-day delivery of the workstream, partnering closely with the architecture team to define and own the technical direction for AI and Agentic capabilities on Azure using python, within a key client programme. The role sits closely with both business and technical teams, translating defined requirements into delivered solutions., * Own delivery, pace, and technical quality for a defined workstream
- Partner with architecture on AI / agentic approach on Azure
- Lead technical design in Python; own key technical decisions
- Engage with workstream business stakeholders
- Mentor engineers and raise the engineering bar
- Observe client policy and regulatory context that shapes delivery requirements
Requirements
- Strong hands-on Python skills
- Production experience on Azure (AKS, Functions, App Service, or equivalent)
- Designing and building AI / agentic systems (LLM orchestration, tool use, RAG, evaluation)
- Prior Technical Lead experience on delivery-focused teams
- Comfortable working with architects and business stakeholders
- Experience working in client facing roles, with the ability to engage with UK-based client stakeholders
Desirable Experience:
- UK energy / utilities sector experience
- MLOps / LLMOps experience on Azure Consulting / client-embedded delivery background
