Job description

  • Review existing construction drawings with an initial focus on IT networking and communications requirements for a new Military Construction project (MILCON) located in Southern California
  • Support Engineering Change Requests and Requests for Information as needed
  • Coordinate for installation of 8 different classified and unclassified networks and 2 Telecommunications (phone) systems
  • Building will house 250 seats; most seats will have multiple networks
  • Create a recommended procurement list for any networks that require complete or partial replacement
  • Work with Government points of contact to procure necessary hardware
  • Anticipate 100% Level of Effort on-site in CA for first 6 months of this task, then 50-75% thereafter
  • Coordinate directly with Construction team to include NAVFAC Construction Manager, MILCON Project Officer, end user, existing IT team, and contractors., + Technical Specifications for Construction and Management of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (Intelligence Community Specification (ICS) 705
  • Committee on National Security System Advisory Memorandum (CNSSAM) TEMPEST/1-13 Red/Black Installation Guidance
  • NIST SP 800-34 Rev.1 Contingency Planning Guide for Federal Information systems
  • NIST SP 800-160 Vol 1 Rev. 1 Engineering Trustworthy Secure Systems
  • NIST SP 800-161 Rev.1 Cybersecurity Supply Chain Risk Management Practices for Systems and Organizations

Requirements

  • Senior Systems Architect or Engineer with strong Information Technology (IT) Background and Project Management experience
  • Experience with IT and Security requirements for constructing a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF)
  • Have an understanding of and experience with the DoD's Risk Management Framework requirements to achieve Authority to Operate

  • Salary range: $150,000 - $210,000. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and the abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.
