Job description
We are seeking an experienced System Administrator to join our dynamic team. Candidates with the following past performance will be a strong fit for this role. Strong past performance working with Linux virtual machines and strong administrator background to provide system, application and network administration. An Active TS/SCI with full scope poly and Security+ certifications are required. Only applicants who possess the required security clearance and certifications will be considered. Brief Outline of Responsibilities: · Create and maintains RedHat Linux virtual machines running in a cloud infrastructure (Amazon AWS). · Evaluates systems for IAVA compliance and applies necessary security updates/patches · Performs command line system administration tasks on virtual machines. · Handles regular system backups and periodically test backups for functionality · Communicates with developers and dev ops team members to provide system administrative support. · Perform maintenance including software upgrades, patch installs, system tests, and other scheduled operations · Perform system backups and recovery · Maintain data files and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity · Diagnose and troubleshoot problems related to the operating system, hardware, network, and related software · Troubleshoot server issues · Administer customer accounts · Deploy applications and tools · Assist with escalated customer tickets · Installation and cabling of equipment
Requirements
· Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline · 10 years of experience as a System Administrator in programs of similar scope, type and complexity. 5 years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree · 3 years of direct and/or related System Administrator work experience with Linux command line (CentOS, RedHat, Amazon, Linux or equivalent) · Knowledge of Federal, NSA, IC, and DoD Information Security regulations, publications, and policy · DoD 8570 compliance with Security+ certification Preferred Qualifications: · Experience or knowledge of RedSeal Network Mapping tools · Experience with IPv4 networking · Experience with PKI server certificates · Experience with SAN storage solutions of any kind (EMC, NetApp or Quantum is a plus) · Nagios or other similar monitoring applications · Scripting experience (Python/Perl)
