Full Stack Software Engineer III

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer with a strong frontend focus to join our Media team, working closely with Horizon TV and Horizon Media Player. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in React JS and a server-side language (e.g., PHP, Java, Go, C/C++), with experience building responsive, high-quality user interfaces backed by robust services. Candidates with video/media background are strongly preferred. The candidate will work closely with senior engineers and designers to deliver polished media experiences. Responsibilities:

• Design and develop frontend features and full stack systems using React JS and server-side languages (e.g., PHP, Java, Go, C/C++)
• Build responsive, performant user interfaces for media-related applications
• Collaborate with designers and product managers to translate requirements into polished UI experiences
• Debug complex full stack systems to identify and fix issues impacting user experience and performance
• Implement best practices for frontend architecture, code quality, and maintainability
• Develop and maintain component libraries and shared UI patterns
• Communicate technical tradeoffs effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Proficiency in React JS is a must-have
• Strong experience with a server-side language (PHP, Java, Go, C/C++) for backend integration; PHP experience is a plus
• Solid understanding of frontend fundamentals: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive design
• Experience building and maintaining complex web applications
• Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities
• Experience with AI development tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT) and an AI-native mindset—using AI to multiply efforts in coding, debugging, and cross-disciplinary work—is a plus.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or relevant field required
• 5+ years of experience in full stack development with a frontend emphasis; video/media domain experience is a plus

Pay range is $79 - $84 per hour with full benefits available, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401K, parental leave, and more. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
