AWS Solutions Architect

While this role is remote within CONUS, there may be in-person requirements 2-4x/week at gov facilities in Quantico, VA and other areas in the DMV.

The Cloud Architect is responsible for creating architecture for cloud systems. This includes designing, managing, and overseeing an organization's cloud computing strategy, ensuring secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions. Cloud Architect works collaboratively with the developers, operations, security team, and client team to deliver outcome-based solutions in cloud.

Responsibilities

• System design with open architecture, incorporating modularity, to consolidate one or more sub-systems into one system in a secure cloud environment with consolidated and streamlines functionality
• Build high-quality technological solution and architecture models
• Provide technical assistance to support the development teams
• Acquire a working knowledge of new technologies and third-party applications
• Write, design, sizing, and operation documentation

• Active Top Secret Clearance
• CompTIA Sec+ certification
• AWS Certified
• 10+ years of experience designing enterprise-level, n-tier, service-oriented applications composed of multiple COTS products
• 7+ years of experience with Microservices and application containerization
• 5+ years of experience with DevSecOps
• Understanding of GenAI related code quality tools
• Experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and has the ability to interface with the customer)
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
• Experience with hybrid multi-cloud target architecture and operating model
