Job description

We safeguard global security by ensuring space access and sustainability for all., We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Test Engineer to support the design, planning, and execution of test campaigns for aerospace defense systems. You will work closely with engineers, program managers, and technical teams to ensure that systems meet performance, environmental, and mission-critical requirements. In this role, you will develop test plans, execute tests, collect data, analyze results, and ensure that the systems meet all specifications. The position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge aerospace technologies in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment., * Define and lead test strategies for major programs, including requirements verification, procedure development, and execution oversight.

  • Author and review high-level test documentation including plans, procedures, readiness reports, and compliance matrices.
  • Analyze complex test data, resolve anomalies, and lead root cause investigations and corrective actions.
  • Oversee test campaigns involving multiple disciplines (thermal, structural, EMI, functional) and ensure full traceability to system requirements.
  • Mentor junior engineers and serve as the technical point of contact for internal and external test-related communications.
  • Interface with program leadership, customers, and regulatory bodies during design reviews and formal test events.
  • Ensure compliance with industry and military standards for test planning and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in test engineering for aerospace, defense, or high-reliability systems.
  • Deep knowledge of environmental and performance test methodologies and standards.
  • Experience leading complex test campaigns and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong background in data analysis, systems engineering, and failure analysis.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and technical documentation skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to government contracts.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master's degree in engineering.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering principles and test validation traceability.
  • Expertise with data acquisition, test automation, and scripting (LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB).
  • Knowledge of test standards such as MIL-STD-810, DO-160, or NASA/DoD specs.
  • Experience working in classified or secure test environments.
  • Active Secret or Top Secret clearance.
