Job description

  • Lead the installation, configuration, and management of network components, ensuring adherence to organizational and industry standards.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of complex networking problems using expert-level diagnostic tools, while following organizational guidance.
  • Identify and implement optimal solutions for network faults, utilizing logistical support, and escalating issues to senior technicians or management when necessary.
  • Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and remote access solutions to ensure secure communications within the network.
  • Monitor, test, and respond to network performance issues using advanced diagnostic tools (Putty & Wireshark).
  • Oversee hardware and software upgrades aligned with organizational specifications and client requirements.
  • Maintain clear and precise documentation for network projects, configurations, and technical specifications while ensuring accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Provide high-level technical support and training to clients, promoting effective communication and adherence to organizational procedures.
  • Maintain a proactive approach by anticipating networking needs and problems, resolving issues independently.
  • Transport necessary materials and equipment to client sites for the successful deployment of networking solutions and support.

Requirements

  • Proficient in installing, servicing, configuring, testing, and troubleshooting network systems across multiple environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of networking concepts, including IP protocols, routing protocols, and performance-affecting factors.
  • Strong familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, and remote access security principles.
  • Comprehensive understanding of networking hardware such as routers, switches, and cabling systems.
  • Expertise in using IT diagnostic equipment and techniques to troubleshoot network issues.
  • Highly organized with a thorough and methodical approach to tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Capability to recognize when escalation is necessary and effectively determine the proper avenues for assistance.
  • Valid Driver†s license may be required.
  • Capability to carry up to 30 lbs. and lift up to 50 lbs., including climbing ladders and working from heights., * Associate degree or certification in a technology services/technical discipline, or equivalent advanced work experience., * 5+ years of professional experience in Networking and Telecommunications, demonstrating a proven track record in diverse environments.
