Job description

The Senior Data Scientist works closely with business stakeholders to understand their goals and determine how data can be used to achieve those goals. The Senior Data Scientist will lead and perform the design data analytic and data science processes, create algorithms and predictive models to extract the data the business needs, and help analyze the data and share insights with peers.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Defines and drives AI and advanced analytics strategy aligned to business and regulatory priorities by leading cross functional initiatives to design, implement and govern AI solutions.
  • Conducts and leads complex modelling initiatives
  • Manages data science operations by supporting team members through data exploration, data mining, modelling phases, ensuring a high level of scientific rigor.
  • Serves as a strategic advisor to senior business leaders on AI and machine learning adoption and investment prioritization.
  • Owns documentation of analytic and data science work products, and internal governance controls, templates and procedures.
  • Architects scalable machine learning frameworks and platform capabilities leveraging enterprise data ecosystems (e.g. Snowflake).
  • Leverage knowledge and skill with a variety of query tools (e.g. SQL, R, Python), analytic techniques, tools, platforms, to analyze large quantities of data, from multiple sources, to design, create, and maintain, dashboards, business plans, forecasts, projections and presentations, models, algorithms, and statistical and financial analyses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 6+ years statistical Analysis, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Programming, Data Storytelling
  • Minimum 6+ years big Data technologies such as Spark, AWS, Hadoop including traditional RDBMS such as Oracle and SQL Server.
  • Minimum 6+ years of data mining (preferably in a data-intensive financial company)

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience building advanced ML architectures within scalable and modern ML ecosystems and enterprise data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks.
  • Experience operating within cross functional data transformation initiatives. Proficient experience in machine learning techniques and algorithms
  • Proficient experience with common data science toolkits and visualization tools
  • Proficient statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
  • Proficient initiative, organization and time management skills
  • Proficient analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient interpersonal relations skills, ability to effectively collaborate with others and work as part of a team
  • Ability work with high degree of independence, researches and resolves questions and problems, requests manager input and keeps manager informed
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Lead multiple tasks and projects; lead and guide stakeholders to solve new problems
  • Ability to influence and communicate with senior stakeholders and shape strategic initiatives.
  • Understanding of regulatory and responsible AI frameworks and governance practices.
  • A strong track record in building and mentoring high performing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of distributed computing enterprise data platforms and MLOps.

Benefits & conditions

Starting base salary: $87,000- $153,000 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions. Benefits and Perks
