- Manage and maintain critical IT infrastructure supporting manufacturing operations (e.g., MES, SCADA, ERP systems).
- Ensure high availability and reliability of production systems and networks to minimize downtime.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity measures to protect industrial control systems (ICS) and proprietary data.
- Perform regular backups and develop disaster recovery plans for essential manufacturing data and systems.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for factory floor hardware, software, and network issues.
- Administer network devices, servers, and virtual environments crucial for production workflows.
- Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions to prevent disruptions.
Requirements
- Strong experience administering Windows Server environments (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO) and/or Linux.
- Solid understanding of network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs, with a focus on reliability.
- Proven experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V) and server hardware maintenance.
- Familiarity with industrial control systems (PLCs, SCADA), MES, or other manufacturing-specific software and hardware.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex IT issues under pressure to minimize production downtime.
- Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity best practices for critical operational environments.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with Operational Technology (OT) or Industrial Control Systems (ICS) environments.
- Familiarity with common manufacturing ERP or MES systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle EBS, Epicor).
- Knowledge of industrial networking protocols or factory floor automation technologies.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks relevant to manufacturing (e.g., ISO, FDA, industry-specific standards).
