SQL Server Architect/Analyst

• Create, maintain, and tune quality SQL Server reporting deliverables using PowerBI and SSRS
• Create, maintain, and tune complex T-SLQ SQL Server based custom reports and stored procedures
• Create, maintain, and tune interfaces with SSIS based interfaces and stored procedures
• Accurately develop MS SQL Server T-SQL database queries, reports, data loads/extracts in a logical manner from scratch.

Specific responsibilities may include:

• Create, maintain, and tune complex PL/SQL queries and stored procedures
• Create and maintain existing SQL based custom reports
• Maintain complex data models
• Create and maintain interfaces between on-premise Oracle environment and MS SQL Server on the Azure based platform
• Review and interpret ongoing business report and interface requirements
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Analyze existing data structures and queries and develop/update reports, queries, data loads, and interfaces.
• Accurately develop database queries, reports, data loads/extracts in a logical manner from scratch.
• Create and maintain quality reporting deliverables using Microsoft PowerBI
• Create and maintain quality reporting deliverables using Microsoft SSRS
• Create new and maintain/tune existing T-SQL queries and procedures
• Create and maintain existing T-SQL based custom reports
• Create and maintain interfaces leveraging Microsoft SSIS
• Analyze existing T-SQL queries for performance improvements
• Review and interpret ongoing business report and interface requirements

• 7 years of experience as a Senior Database Analyst/Architect

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject

• A strong SQL developer who can quickly come up to speed on an existing and complex SQL Server database underlying a leading financial based COTS product
• Extensive experience in all aspects of Oracle PL/SQL programming and query manipulation.
• Some experience working with a SQL Server database, MS Server Power BI, SSRS, and SSIS
• Extensive experience working with large sets of data and resolving data-oriented issues.
• Extensive experience in tuning queries for optimal performance
• Ability to work directly with business users to translate business reporting requests/requirements into a backend database design that clearly identifies database object impacts

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience with MS-SQL Server
