Job description
A Mainframe Developer with good COBOL and JCL, DB2, and CICS skills is responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining mainframe applications that support critical business processes in a Wealth Management domain.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Test Planning (Quality assurance practices)?, * 5+ yrs Writing, testing, and debugging COBOL programs using established coding standards and best practices
- 5+ yrs Developing and maintaining JCL scripts to manage batch processing and job scheduling5+ yrs Designing, developing, and maintaining DB2 databases to support application data needs
- 5+ yrs Writing and maintaining CICS transaction programs to provide online access to mainframe applications
- Creating and executing test plans to ensure application functionality and quality
- Participating in code reviews and providing feedback to other developers to ensure code quality and adherence to standards
- Troubleshooting and resolving application issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to suggest process improvements or new solutions.
- Overall, a mainframe developer with these skills plays a critical role in maintaining and improving the performance and reliability of mainframe applications that are essential to the operations of large organizations.
