Network Engineer

The Network Engineer is responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of Networking solutions for our US Government customer. Job duties include:\n \n

• Development Environment - Implement a dedicated IT development environment for testing patches and updates, system changes, and evaluation software\n
• Patch management - automate the IT Security patches process required to keep the system secure\n
• Implement modifications to the existing system boundary, which may include changes to VLANs and physical connectivity to other 8850-supported systems\n
• Implement remote desktop technology for the workstations to allow the Help desk to troubleshoot and fix desktop problems remotely\n
• Develop network architecture enhancements for the network environment\n
• Provide innovative and cutting-edge solutions to network issues/concern\n
• Provide business case analysis for varying solutions and include a cost benefits analysis for each solution\n

• Support onsite the day-to-day operational requirements as directed by the COR/SO, and for IT\n
• security concerns follow the ISSO guidance, as directed by the COR/SO. Examine\n
• documentation and provide support to:\n
• Maintain hardware and software designed to prevent compromise of any system\n
• components\n
• Deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor, active network devices (switches,\n

AttainX, Inc. is in search of a highly energetic Network Engineer with strong technical knowledge, communication, and organizational skills to support our government client.\n \n \nQualifications and Education Requirements:\n \n

• Bachelor's degree or higher\n

• 3+ years of experience implementing and maintaining network solutions\n

• Strong experience providing Network Engineering expertise and Tier 3+ support for a global enterprise computing environment \n

• Must hold a minimum of CISCO Associate Level Certification in good standing (such as CCDA, CCNA, etc.).\n

• Experience working in a cloud environment\n

• Experience researching and evaluating enterprise networking solutions and providing recommendations to senior leadership\n

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional global teams and acting as a networking subject-matter expert to support, troubleshoot, and implement enterprise IT solutions \n

• Solid understanding of networking principles and security best practices\n

• Working knowledge of technologies traversing an enterprise network (e.g. virtualization, Windows and Linux systems, SAN, applications, etc.) to provide secure transport for same \n

• Understanding of the system hardening processes, tools, guidelines and benchmarks\n

• Demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal, analytical, oral and written communication skills. \n

• Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting\n \n, * Prior experience working on US Federal Government Contracts\n

• Demonstrated experience with delivering technology solutions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven enterprise environment\n

• Self-starter, highly motivated individual who adapts to a dynamic work environment\n

• Strong attention to detail with an ability to operate effectively across multiple priorities.\n

• Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53r4 and 800-53r5-based security baselining practices\n

• Working knowledge of Google Voice administration, including configuration of desktop phones where required\n

• routers, firewalls, cabling, etc.)\n
• Provide and support network addressing assignments\n
• Maintain routing protocols and routing configurations\n
• Provide configuration of authentication and authorization\n
• Provide maintenance and documentation for network facilities\n
• Provide troubleshooting and debugging of network related problems\n
• Provide Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Root Certificate Authority (CA) network services support\n
• Provide maintenance of the network authorization infrastructure as well as the\n
• network backup system\n
• Provide Network Directory Services: Domain Naming Services (DNS), Domain Host\n
• Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and World Wide Web (WWW) services\n
• Provide and maintain the secure wireless technology to be scalable for other facilities locations\n
• Perform network health monitoring using provided monitoring tools\n
• Analyze network statistics, including traffic flow for the networks, perform reviews\n
• and trend analysis, and submit enhancement recommendations to system management\n
• and Change Control Board (CCB)\n
• Manage and troubleshoot all approved public Domain Naming Service (DNS) name\n
• spaces owned and operated by the included organizations\n
• Provide Telecommunications Network Engineering analysis, recommendations,\n
• installations, and configurations for Network Devices connected to the network backbone\n
