Data Analysts

Responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data to develop immersive stories that answer business questions. Using proven and sound statistical methods, the analyst draws insights from data, and translates those insights into action that drive business results. Data Analysts are extremely resourceful and able to find novel new data sources to enrich their analysis. They apply mathematical and statistical methods to business and risk management problems.Mine, process, and summarize data; Manage the quality assurance of data scraping, query databases for stakeholder requests, and triage data issues for timely resolutions; Analyze large datasets, draw valid inferences and prepare insights in narrative or visual forms, including dashboards; Set up and maintain data processes and new analytics capabilities; Produce and track key performance indicators; Ability to formulate functional and technical requirements from business problems; Program management of key tasks and resources to achieve cost and schedule, Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Generally has 5+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.

• Experience with Tableau visualization and development
• Experience with Excel
• Ability to analyze/interpret data and translate into a meaningful data set for customers
• Experience explaining technical concepts to non technical audiences

Desired skills

• Experience with SAP
• Experience with programming languages (such as SQL)
• Familiarity with AI machine learning concepts and can demonstrate knowledge on the topic (do not have to be a SME)
• Experience with Sales Inventory Operations Planning (SIOP)
• Experience working across functions and business areas
• Experience with IT project management
• Proven ability to effectively organize, articulate, and present information throughout all levels of the organization
• Strong business communications skills - capturing and documenting requirements, understanding business impacts and tradeoffs, conducting interviews and workshops, proposing solutions, documentation and process mapping, etc.

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $120,100 - $208,150.
