Job description

The Lead/Staff Software Engineer will lead the evolution of a mission-critical operational platform used to manage warehouse workflows, shipping processes, inventory tracking, and internal operational tooling., * Rebuild and improve the core software that runs the warehouse and its daily operations

  • Design and build robust Application Programming Interfaces (API)s, and workflow logic used to track inventory, ship order and automate the warehouse
  • Develop systems that directly improve throughput, visibility, and reliability for day-to-day logistics operations
  • Serve as a high-impact individual contributor with a clear path toward management and upward mobility

Requirements

Do you have experience in Warehousing technology implementation?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in software engineering or related field preferred

  • Five years of experience building backend systems in production environments
  • Strong Node.js / TypeScript experience in API-driven architectures
  • Experience working with large datasets and modern data applications (BigQuery, Snowflake)
  • Deep PostgreSQL experience (schema design, migrations, query optimization)
  • Experience migrating legacy systems to modern stacks
  • Familiarity with event-driven systems, webhooks, or integration-heavy environments
  • Experience designing systems that support operational workflows, warehouse management logistics, fulfillment, ERP applications and related business processes solutions, highly preferred
  • Experience working with distributed or nearshore teams, preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), including inventory tracking, shipping workflows, and automation logic
  • Deep understanding of how to identify architectural flaws and implement reliable, "working" replacements in high-stakes environments
  • Understanding how to build internal tools and dashboards that improve visibility for other teams
  • Proficiency in "asking the right questions" to draw out and define technical needs when official requirements are vague or missing
  • Ability to make decisive, effective technical choices during system outages or high-volume peaks
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of leading successful initiatives
