Job description
We are seeking a System Architect to support Enterprise Cross Domain Systems (ECDS) and related initiatives. These systems enable reliable and secure data transfers between multiple security domains for both general users and mission programs.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing complex, scalable system architectures, working closely with cross-functional teams to translate operational and business requirements into robust, secure, and high-performing technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Define system architecture: Lead the design, development, and documentation of system architectures for new systems, features, and services
Conduct feasibility and risk assessments: Evaluate technical feasibility, architectural tradeoffs, and implementation risks for proposed designs
Develop technical roadmaps: Define and maintain long-term architecture and modernization roadmaps
Ensure scalability and performance: Design systems capable of supporting high data throughput, availability, and performance requirements
Collaborate with engineering teams: Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership throughout the system development lifecycle
Evaluate emerging technologies: Research new technologies and assess their applicability to enterprise and cross-domain environments
Ensure security and reliability: Architect solutions that meet security, availability, and resiliency requirements across multiple domains
Communicate effectively: Translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
4-6 years of relevant systems or architecture experience
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science)
DoD 8140 / DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification
Active TS/SCI security clearance
Ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph within six (6) months of start date
