We are hiring a Network Technician specializing in security and surveillance systems to support our multi-campus facilities. You will be responsible for installing, modifying and maintaining campus video surveillance, network video recording systems., We are a small team that is responsible for operating all aspects of the Texas State University campus network, security cameras, video recording systems, and emergency phones. We strive to maintain a highly reliable and sustainable infrastructure for the university community. About You: We are looking for someone with a solid foundation of camera installation and maintenance skills, who enjoys learning new things and solving problems. You should have strong interpersonal skills and must be able to work collaboratively with a team and interface with end-users and management. You must also be able to work independently with minimal supervision to achieve specific goals and complete assigned tasks and projects. Job Duties
- Install, modify and maintain campus video surveillance cameras, network video recording systems.
- Identify and troubleshoot camera issues.
- Coordinate with outside vendors and service providers in order to service and support cameras and related systems in a timely manner.

Requirements

- Basic IP networking skills.

- Experience working with Panasonic cameras and Video Insight software
- Familiarity with Texas State University campus
