Job description
- Design, build, run, and scale distributed tools and services that support abuse detection, mitigation, and legal response efforts.
- Develop critical data pipelines and services to collect, analyze, and act on abuse signals at scale.
- Extend, improve, and maintain mission-critical online safety solutions, including compliance pipelines and abuse scanning tools.
- Collaborate closely with threat operations, online safety, legal, and product teams to translate complex technical requirements into elegant, scalable solutions.
- Improve system design and architecture to ensure stability, performance, and maintainability of both internal and customer-facing compliance and security services.
- Clearly communicate technical concepts and actively contribute to project planning efforts.
- Contribute to Operational Excellence initiatives, including improving monitoring, observability, and reliability of production services.
- Write well-tested, modular, and reusable code following engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in systems engineering or software development with a strong focus on distributed systems.
- Strong programming skills in Go (Golang).
- Proficiency with TypeScript.
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Proficiency with SQL databases, including PostgreSQL.
- A solid understanding of RESTful API design & documentation.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools.
- Excellent debugging skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of HTTP.
Nice to Have Qualifications:
- Background in online trust and safety initiatives.
- Deep understanding of internet protocols and networking.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools.
- Experience with tools such as Kafka, Redis, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Working knowledge of DNS and broader internet infrastructure.
