Senior Software Engineer

Thorough understanding of software engineering processes. Knowledge of DoD's Systems Engineering Technical Processes and Technical Management Processes. Knowledge of relational database management software with SAP ASE and Replication Server experience. Strong understanding of information security and secure coding techniques. Working knowledge of VMware application virtualization suite ThinAppBasic network administration knowledge. Knowledge of Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).

Skills

Experience with Perl, batch scripting, iSQL, AutoIt, Apache Ant XML, PowerShell. Experience with some of the following: Java, JBoss, PowerBuilder. Experience with Windows operating systems (Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows 2016, Windows 2019, Windows 2022). Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, VMware workstation)Windows server installation, configuration, and management - a plus. Experience in writing and presenting technical documentation, white papers, Charters, Change Requests, System Administration Guides, etc.

Abilities

Ability to learn new processes and propose IT solutions to suit end-users' needs. Ability to develop concepts, evaluate data and work towards practical solutions. Ability to work effectively on various types of complex integrated multi-disciplinary systems in different application domains, in different portions of the system lifecycle, in team and alone. Ability to communicate systems engineering principles to others.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's level degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.

Certification Requirements

Must possess a DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher (e.g., CompTIA Security+)

Clearance Requirements

Must have an active Secret clearance and must be able to obtain a T5 investigation clearance.

General Experience Requirements

Minimum 5 years of demonstrated professional experience in solving various levels of technical problems. Experience working on a DoD, DoN system. Demonstrated experience in DoD Business IT supply, logistics, maintenance, and/or personnel administration systems for aviation, afloat, or shore activities.
