Join us in our fast-paced support to develop, advance, and sustain weapon systems for the U.S. Space Force (USSF) and its mission partners. You will be joining a team of personnel with experience and an in-depth understanding of the environments that include ground, near-space, space, and any system that operates in those environments to meet current and projected strategic, operational, and tactical needs for the Department of Defense (DoD). QinetiQ is a mission-led innovation company that works with the USSF and DoD to design, develop, field, and maintain requirements essential to national security and the survivability of the warfighter., We are seeking an Information System Security Engineer, which will be responsible for performing oversight of the development, implementation, and evaluation of information system security program policy with special emphasis on integration of existing SAP network infrastructures. In addition, the Information System Security Engineer will support the development and execution of analysis of network security based on risk management framework with emphasis on Joint SAP processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise with enhancing operations and development activities by synergistically migrating assessments and ideas within the IC/DoD community. This position requires an individual who can work closely with technical teams, stakeholders, and partners to ensure program success. Responsibilities Provide operational and technical advice for projects and programs as well as support program acquisition efforts for advanced technology, future concept development, and integration activities.
- Support the revision or drafting of JCIDS and acquisition documentation such as Initial Capability Documents, Analysis of Alternatives, Concept of Operations, Technical/Systems Requirement Documents, Technical Evaluations, and System Specifications.
- Provide inputs and support on technical and/or programmatic status reporting of individual projects, programs, or portfolios.
- Identify areas of improvement with actionable, feasible recommendations, and tasks for reducing risk where appropriate as well as support risk identification, process definition, and detailed technical risk mitigation plans.
- Maintain a broad awareness and understanding of all programs and technology development efforts in execution across the applicable portfolio as well as assist integrated product teams and working groups.
- Advise the Government program manager on technical engagements (e.g., technical interchange meetings, design reviews, program conferences, etc.) as well as establish customer and contractor interfaces.
- Provide technical and operational insight to support mission protection, operations, and mission data assessments.
- Recommend viable solutions for technical anomalies.
- Support the development, delivery, review, and evaluate impact analysis, audits, studies, compliance inspections, and readiness reviews.
- Provide modeling, simulation, and analysis as well as architectural development support, including definition and development of Space Protection and Space Control mission area architectures and alternatives (enterprise, mission area, and mission thread products), force packaging, courses of action and validation to determine the effectiveness of architectures and/or alternatives being evaluated.
Requirements
- Extensive experience analyzing and evaluating current events, and providing recommendations to the Unit leadership to help assure continuity of activities and processing of security requirements are effectively integrated through security architecture, design, development, and configuration.
- Knowledgeable on organization and execution of contingency planning, testing, and validation for all aspects of information systems security.
- Expertise providing continuous assessment of mission effectiveness, identification, and analysis of external threat environment for impacts on mission effectivity and future requirements.
- Experience researching, evaluating, and reporting the current and evolving threat.
- Ability to enhance operations and development activities by synergistically migrating assessments and ideas within the IC/DoD community.
- Experience accessing multiple sources and experts/agencies as well as performing oversight of the development, implementation, and evaluation of information system security program policy with special emphasis on integration of existing SAP network infrastructures.
- Expertise in development and execution of analysis of network security, based on risk management framework with emphasis on Joint SAP Implementation Guide authorization process.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple competing priorities.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to identify and solve problems.
- Masters Degree
- 20+ years of relevant experience

The salary range for this role is $46,400- $59,350 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
