Algorithm Systems Engineer

An employer is looking for a Staff Systems Engineer. You will be responsible for developing and implementing system updates that best meet changing customer needs for new and existing features, collaborating with team members, and working in a cross-functional agile scrum team.

Active Secret Clearance STEM Degree Recent experience in one or more of the following areas: data analysis, performance analysis, or physics/mathematics-based algorithm development. General understanding of any, or all, of the following algorithm domains: track processing, track reporting, discrimination, propagation, and 6d covariance propagation/ prediction High proficiency in technical problem solving and integrating solutions into a larger system Knowledge of MATLAB, Python or similar engineering tools used in prototyping algorithms Experience reading and understanding the Ada programming language Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical personnel Extensive background in Ballistic Missile Defense, midcourse missile defense, battle management, threat state processing, weapon target assignment

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Current/Active Top Secret Clearance Recent experience applying advanced mathematical concepts (Numerical Analysis, Linear Algebra, Probability/Statistics) to complex problems and solutions Recent and extensive experience developing analysis tools in MATLAB and PYTHON High comfort level with the ADA programming language Successful performance of root cause analysis of large complex software systems High Comfort level using the Atlassian toolset (Jira/Confluence)
