Job description

As an acquisition management professional, you know that both sides of the acquisition and contracts lifecycle are pivotal to your clients' missions. As a Federal Acquisition Management Professional at Booz Allen, you'll work closely with our defense clients in support of the warfighter, aiding in the acquisition of all they need for optimal end strength and ensuring that their mission is our mission. This is an opportunity to impact our country's defense acquisition and contract process.

You'll complete procurement request packages and be responsible for the safe storage and handling of sensitive documents. You'll provide acquisition expertise regarding all statutory, regulatory, and policy updates impacting each project's success. From creating and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders to obtaining concurrence, you'll deliver meaningful acquisition support.

Thisrequirementdemandsexpert-level acquisition and contracting support for complex programswith strong strategic thinking and an ability to manage intricate acquisition challenges. This rolewillensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations,assistin the development ofacquisition strategies, and manage procurement activities throughout the program lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 10+years of experience managing and supporting federal acquisition processes throughout the entire lifecycle frominitialplanning and requirements definition to contract award, administration, and closeout, ensuring compliance with FAR or DFARS and agency-specific regulations
  • Experience with acquisition program baselines, supportability strategies,and commercial technology maturity
  • Knowledge ofFAR, DFARS, AFARS, DoDD or DoDI,and agency guidelines
  • Ability to supportthe development of Acquisition Requirements Packages (ARP), including Procurement Work Directives (PWD), orStatements of Work (SOW), prepare and review pre- and post-award documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and collaborate with appropriate stakeholders to shape acquisition strategies, gather and negotiaterequirements, andfinalize acquisition packages aligned with mission objectives
  • Ability to conduct market research and analysis to identify qualified vendors and assess availability of required products or serviceswhile complying with all OCI, NDA, and FAR requirements set forth
  • Ability to assess interdependencies, configuration impacts, and lifecycle implications across Common Hardware Systems (CHS), ensuring acquisition decisions optimize system compatibility,sustainment,and long-term mission effectiveness rather than isolated program outcomes
  • Ability to integrate requirements, technical baselines, sustainment strategies, and contracting actions across the full acquisition lifecycle toanticipatedownstream impacts on production, fielding, supportability, and modernization, enabling informed, end-to-end decision making
  • Ability to provide cross-program and cross-functional insight by synthesizing inputs from engineering,logistics, sustainment, contracting, and program management to drive cohesive acquisition strategies and avoid siloed execution that could degrade cost, schedule, or performance outcomes
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,900.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
