Job description
Currently we are looking for a Cooling Solution Architect
The Cooling Solution Architect will be responsible about the management of Schneider Electric customers, with focus and priority on the support of our VIP accounts. These customers will be supported during all the pre-design phase where the cooling setup/layout of the datacenter will be defined. The cooling solution architect will lead the definition of best solution thanks to a constant relationship with customers, consulting companies and the Schneider Electric entities worldwide.
What will you do?
The cooling solution architect will build and keep a constant relationship with:
- Global strategic accounts, such as Internet giants, CoLo, Service providers, becoming in this way their main technical single point of contact.
- Consulting companies Worldwide
- Local Schneider Electric entities, located where the new projects will be established.
- Working with them on a daily basis on the GSA projects.
Will also improve the relationship that already exists with VIP customers and will apply the same approach with potential new ones, bringing experiences/thoughts for continuous improvement.
The final scope is to become trusted advisors for end users and consultants, by means quarterly meetings tailored on customer needs/pains, visits for face to face discussions, visits to Datacenter in construction or commissioning phase for an End-to-end approach. Finally, participating during laboratory FWT, acting as the technical expert.
Using technical know-how, he/she will actively cooperate on a daily basis with the other departments, in particular with:
- Sales team: responsible of the commercial offer for such customer, in the definition of the right approach and prioritization.
- Product specialists/Tendering team: with them a hand-over will be done once the final layout /setup of the datacenter cooling products will be defined.
- R&D: responsible of Schneider cooling products. With them there will be a constant cooperation to identify the best solution to propose to create added value for C&SP customer (hardware and software solutions).
- Service department: to support customers with an end to end approach.
Requirements
- Bachelor o Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical or Electronic engineering
- Seven (7) years of experience on cooling matters with focus on DataCenter applications
- Communication and relationship capabilities with particular focus to cross cultural relationships worldwide.
- Awareness about the Datacenter market and competition
- Knowledge about cooling products, i.e. inRoom - inRow - Chillers
- Team oriented approach

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
