Job description

MongoDB Database Devloper / Engineer (Only G.C / U.S.C) 6+Months Hartford, CT 06103 (Remote), * Design and implement the target architecture for migrating from DB2 to AWS PostgreSQL and then to AWS MongoDB.

  • Build and operate data pipelines using Precisely and Kafka, ensuring efficient change data capture (CDC) and error handling mechanisms.
  • Define and implement transformation rules to convert raw relational data into structured MongoDB documents suitable for downstream applications.
  • Create and optimize MongoDB collections, indexes, and partitioning strategies while managing TTL and data retention policies.
  • Collaborate with application teams on optimizing query patterns, establishing SLAs, and facilitating schema evolution.

Requirements

Do you have experience in PostgreSQL?, * 6-9 years of experience with database design and tuning, specifically with DB2, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.

  • Proficiency in Kafka streaming, CDC, and replication, with a preference for experience using Precisely.
  • Strong foundation in AWS services, including knowledge of networking, IAM, encryption, and monitoring for production environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure data quality and security controls.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnership with development teams to achieve project success.
