Job description

We're looking for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep technical expertise in enterprise security and networking technologies to join our Technical Services team. If you're passionate about solving complex technical challenges, driving customer success, and shaping best practices for secure and resilient enterprise environments, we'd love to meet you.

As a Subject Matter Expert, you will be the technical authority for escalations involving network security architectures, identity and access management, and secure connectivity solutions. You'll collaborate closely with Support, Engineering, and Product teams to diagnose and resolve challenging issues while providing strategic guidance to customers. This role requires hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, zero trust frameworks, identity providers like Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Okta, and authentication protocols that power secure access across distributed networks. Your expertise will not only drive technical resolution for customers but also inform Omnissa's product direction and best practice frameworks. Here's a breakdown:

  • Act as the go-to expert for complex technical cases involving network security, identity integrations, and secure connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot advanced issues related to firewall policies, VPN configurations, SD-WAN, and secure application delivery.
  • Integrate and support Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, and other identity providers for SSO, federation, and conditional access scenarios.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of authentication flows (SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect) and resolve associated token or access issues.
  • Partner with Engineering and Product teams to influence long-term security and networking improvements.
  • Create and maintain knowledge base articles, technical documentation, and best practice playbooks for internal and external audiences.
  • Mentor frontline solution engineers and contribute to internal training and enablement programs.
  • Participate in customer engagements, security workshops, and architecture reviews as a trusted technical advisor.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in network security, identity management, or enterprise networking.
  • Strong expertise in firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, and zero trust architectures.
  • Hands-on experience integrating with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and/or Okta.
  • Deep understanding of SAML, OAuth2.0, and OpenID Connect protocols.
  • Proven ability to analyze network traffic, logs, and device-to-cloud communications for complex issue resolution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics clearly to varied audiences.
  • A customer-first mindset with a passion for secure design and problem-solving., * Experience supporting secure network deployments across hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with Workspace ONE UEM, Intune, or similar platforms with strong security posture.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, CEH, or Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator (SC-300).
  • Prior experience in escalation engineering, professional services, or advanced technical support roles., Education: Bachelor's Degree referred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.

Benefits & conditions

Compensation: The typical base salary for this role is between USD $173,662- $361,512 per year and it may be eligible for participation in a corporate bonus program. Actual compensation offer may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, or other relevant factors.
