Job description
- Work closely with business division and corporate sustainability teams to shape and deploy a new framework for sustainable software design, as part of Schneider's 2030 targets
- Build and manage the cross-functional program required to support these strategic objectives, including defining, testing, and refining requirements; deploying those requirements with product teams; engaging and aligning stakeholders; ensuring resourcing is assigned to manage execution; developing resources; and establishing the governance, accountability, and process integration required to deliver results
- Support the design features for AI-augmented or AI-native improvements of software solutions, in relation to decarbonization and efficiency improvements for customers
- Support businesses with ideas, thought leadership, and strategies to improve the sustainability of their software design
- Drive implementation of other related activities as needed, including regular reporting & communication
Requirements

Bachelor's or graduate degree in environmental management, business, or engineering

10+ years of total work experience, including at least 2 years managing sustainability programs at a large organization

Strong subject-matter expertise on issues related to sustainability and software, including GHG emissions, lifecycle environmental impacts, software design, the environmental impacts of software and AI

Understanding of energy management and distribution technologies and solutions

Experience with product design, development, offers, and marketing, as well as employee engagement and training

Strong analytical skills: ability to screen and quickly absorb information on various topics from multiple sources and synthesize it to make meaningful recommendations; resilient and solutions-oriented in the face of incomplete or inconsistent information

Able to translate and communicate effectively between expert and non-expert audiences

Excellent written, oral, and visual communication skills

Ability to influence without authority across functional teams is critical

Strong project management and stakeholder management and facilitation skills; able to set clear guidance and project plans, and effectively hold teams accountable to project deliverables, partnering to find solutions where needed

Benefits & conditions
For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $185,000 - $222,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
