Job description

We're seeking a Senior HRIS Analyst with strong Workday HCM functional expertise to support day-to-day operations, data quality initiatives, enhancements, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). You'll partner closely with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), Product, and Engineering to ensure Workday is running smoothly and evolving in line with business needs.

This is a functional Workday role (HCM configuration knowledge required). It is not an integrations developer position-you will not be building integrations, but you should understand configuration concepts and downstream impacts to support troubleshooting, requirements gathering, and testing.

What you'll do Operational support (day-to-day)

  • Provide production support for Workday, including triage, issue resolution, and operational maintenance.
  • Support multiple Workday areas such as Core HCM, Benefits, Talent, Performance, Recruiting, Compensation, and Reporting.
  • Partner with HR stakeholders to provide functional guidance, process best practices, and Workday transaction support.
  • Drive data quality work: audits, cleansing, root-cause analysis, and coordination of fixes with technical teams.
  • Support reporting and analytics using Workday reporting tools.

Enhancements and project/UAT work

  • Partner with Product and Engineering on Workday enhancements and new functionality.
  • Execute UAT end-to-end: define test scenarios, perform testing, log/track defects, validate fixes, and support go-live readiness.
  • Create and maintain documentation (SOPs, job aids, process guides) for new features and initiatives.
  • Validate inbound/outbound vendor files and escalate issues as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Information Systems, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of HRIS experience, including 3+ years of hands-on Workday HCM configuration experience.
  • Functional experience across Workday Core HCM plus areas such as Talent/Performance, Recruiting, Benefits, Reporting, and Advanced Compensation.
  • Experience with EIBs, mass data loads, and data corrections.
  • Strong UAT experience (planning, execution, defect management).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; proven ability to troubleshoot data/process issues.
  • Clear communicator who can translate business needs into actionable requirements and testing outcomes.
  • Strong documentation and technical writing skills.

Preferred

  • Workday Pro certifications (HCM, Talent & Performance, Recruiting, Reporting, Benefits, Compensation).
  • Experience with Phenom (CRM/Sourcing).
  • Experience working in Agile environments.

What matters most

  • Strong functional Workday configuration knowledge and the ability to assess downstream impacts.
  • Comfort balancing operational support with project/UAT work (roughly 50/50).
  • A data-quality mindset (auditing, cleansing, and root-cause analysis).
  • Ability to partner effectively across HR, Product, and Engineering.
