Job description
- Design, build, and maintain modern integrations and APIs that connect Salesforce, Snowflake, MDM, administrative systems, partner platforms, and internal domains across Workforce Benefits.
- Develop reusable patterns, modules, and frameworks for APIs, transformations, event flows, error handling, and security.
- Engineer integrations across multiple styles: real-time APIs, batch interfaces, event-driven messaging, file-based patterns, and orchestrated workflows.
- Collaborate with product, architecture, engineering, QA, and partner vendors to deliver seamless cross-system connectivity.
- Help advance integration governance: versioning, lifecycle management, observability, performance tuning, and operational excellence.
- Contribute to CI/CD improvements, automated testing, quality gates, and DevOps maturity for integration pipelines.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor other engineers within the platform.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and help continuously improve how we deliver integration value.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 6+ years of experiencein integration engineering or API development using any enterprise integration platform (iPaaS) or custom middleware framework.
- Strong grasp of API design, REST/SOAP, data formats (JSON, XML), transformation logic, and common patterns (orchestration, choreography, pub/sub, async queues).
- Solid understanding of security(OAuth2, JWT, mTLS), monitoring, and resiliencypatterns.
- Experience connecting enterprise systems using APIs, messaging, ETL, streaming, or hybrid cloud integration models.
- Ability to analyze complex systems and build clean, maintainable integration workflows.
- Strong collaboration mindset - able to work with product owners, analysts, architects, and business partners in an Agile environment.
- Experience working in Agile development environments and using tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira
What Will Make You Stand Out:
- Hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (API Manager, Runtime Manager, DataWeave).
- Experience with event/streaming platforms such as Kafka.
- Knowledge of insurance, group benefits, payroll, or financial-services domains.
- Cloud experience (AWS, Azure) and modern DevOps pipelines.
Benefits & conditions
The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
$125,100.00 - $152,900.00
