Job description

J. J. Keller is seeking a Business Analyst - SAP to join our Information Technology team. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to analyze, implement, and continuously improve business operations through effective use of SAP and related technologies.

You'll develop deep expertise in SAP's core functions and play a key role in identifying inefficiencies, enhancing productivity, and supporting strategic initiatives.

Keller experience requirements may vary from those for external candidates, with consideration given to demonstrated performance, institutional knowledge, and career progression within the organization., * Identifies, analyzes and facilitates the implementation of new and enhanced technology to support SAP:

  • Work with business unit analysts to define business needs, project requirements, system specifications, and deliverables.
  • Coordinates activities and maintains on-going communication with management, technology team, end users, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinates decisions based on business requirements, system functionality, and best business practices.
  • Participates in system configuration, data conversion, and testing processes.
  • Troubleshoots system errors and performance problems so that business needs are met on a timely basis. Provides 2nd level support for help desk calls. Analyzes trends and develops recommendations to resolve recurring issues.
  • Prepares and updates documentation to include functional specifications, testing procedures, end user documentation, technical standard operating procedures (SOP), etc.
  • Facilitates timely and thorough system testing for new system implementations and system updates/upgrades.
  • Actively participates in business process improvement activities to include leading and participating in process improvement events (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.).
  • Develops and maintains project plans in line with department and corporate objectives.

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience working with SAP Sales and Distribution as an analyst or super user.
  • Process or systems analysis experience.
  • Formal project methodology experience a plus (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology or Project Management related field.
  • In lieu of the Bachelor's degree, will consider an additional 4 years of directly related experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master certification or other related project management certification desirable.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency with standard office software applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Atlassian Confluence).
  • SAP System implementation and configuration experience a plus.
  • Experience with project management tracking software, Jira Service Module preferred.

Other Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical users at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong technical aptitudes.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Knowledge of formal project management concepts and methodologies.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time.

Benefits & conditions

J. J. Keller provides a competitive benefit package which includes the following (eligibility requirements apply): Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401(k) and Profit Sharing Plan, etc. The compensation range for this role is $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 which varies depending on factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's overall experience and geographic location. Note that J. J. Keller is not currently recruiting employees to work in California.
