As a Lead Cable Technician, you will oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network cabling infrastructure within data center environments. In this role, you will guide and support a team of technicians, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You will collaborate with stakeholders, interpret technical documentation, and maintain compliance with industry best practices. This position is ideal for individuals with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for mentoring others while driving operational excellence., * Installation/decommissioning of network and cabling infrastructure in a Data Center environment.
- Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes, always with an eye on improvement.
- Provide structured feedback on project progress to Stakeholders.
- Exhibit quality workmanship on all work and maintain Data Center cleanliness.
- Follow all production, safety and quality standards, codes, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with various Stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
- Reading and comprehending blueprints and building documentation/redline work.
- Broad understanding of Data Center infrastructure technologies., * Reports to Operations Manager and take daily directions from Technician, Technician II, Lead Technicians, Senior Technicians and Advance Senior Technicians.
- Track and submit timesheets for crew reporting
- Perform job walks
- Maintaining paperwork and running service jobs
- Copper/Fiber (term, test, splice, troubleshoot)
- Responsibly of outcome for work

Requirements
- Knowledge and use of basic telecom hand tools.
- Must be capable of leading a crew of 1-5 technicians.
- Must understand customer service, perform job walks and communicate with customer for job requirements.
- Accept responsibility of outcome of work performed by him/her and/or by employee that directly report to him/her.
- Clear understanding of job safety requirements.
- Be able to read and understand job floor plan.
- Should be familiar on wiring schemes and wiring testing.
- Should be able to pull all types of low voltage cables.
- Should understand and be capable in performing field terminations and labeling.
- Capable of maintaining orderly paperwork, capable of running midsize to large projects and service jobs.
- Possess skill to layout MDF and IDF closets, be able to dress all types of cable and perform all types of terminations and should include basic understanding of fiber equipment, all types of cable and fiber terminations.
- Basic understanding of both copper and fiber cable testing and troubleshooting.
- Capable of working in Data Centers.
- Shall be able to work on analog, DSL, and be able to extend T1 lines.
- Be able to patch network equipment., * HighSchool Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5-8 years of job-relatedexperience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and educationwill be considered.
- UniversalCFC certification required.
- Additionalcertification in one or more of the following: HVAC, electrical, mechanical,HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical powertransmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair.
- Meetthe physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking,climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs.or more.

- Abilityto solve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions having a broadimpact on the business.
- In-depthknowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook,etc.
- Expertorganizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
- Highlysophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate somewhat complex figures suchas percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

The minimum salary for the Data Center Technical Manager position is $150,000 annually and the maximum salary of $182,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience.
