Job description
- Deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise systems across multiple environments including Windows and Linux operating systems, cloud platforms, and hybrid infrastructures
- Plan and execute system migrations, upgrades, and modernization efforts across varying architectures, deployment models, and technology stacks
- Troubleshoot complex system issues across infrastructure components including compute, storage, networking, and security
- Work closely with stakeholders, customers, and internal teams to design, implement, and support enterprise workflows and technology solutions
- Assist organizations in aligning technical implementations with operational goals and enterprise architecture strategies
- Monitor system performance, recommend improvements, and implement best practices to maintain system reliability, scalability, and security
Requirements
Do you have experience in Systems engineering?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * U.S. citizenship with Active or Current (within 2 years of active) Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility
- 8+ years of professional experience in a similar position supporting similar responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or another STEM-related field.
- Experience designing, implementing, or administering enterprise IT systems including server infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments
- Strong system administration experience with Windows and/or Linux environments
- Experience with at least one scripting or programming language such as Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or C#
- Familiarity with networking concepts including domains, directories, DNS, HTTPS, firewalls, proxies, and load balancing
- Experience working with relational database management systems and writing SQL queries (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
The following are recommended of the Systems Engineer:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, GIS, or another STEM-related field
- One or more industry-recognized IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, AWS, Cisco, VMware)
- CompTIA Security+ certification
- Experience supporting enterprise platforms, data services, or specialized business applications
- Experience with cloud platforms and cloud-based system operations (AWS, Azure, or similar)
- Familiarity with geospatial technologies such as ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, or related GIS platforms (nice to have).
