Job description
About the Role: This is a pre-sales, client-facing role combining technical expertise with sales support to drive Managed IT and Cybersecurity solutions. The IT Sales Engineer partners closely with sales teams to assess client environments, design solutions, and help close services-based, recurring revenue deals., * Partner with sales teams to drive Managed IT and Cybersecurity opportunities across assigned territory
- Lead technical discovery sessions to assess client environments, challenges, and goals
- Design and present tailored IT solutions across infrastructure, networking, cloud, and security
- Support the full sales lifecycle including qualification, proposal development, and deal support
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance to ensure accurate and scalable solutions
- Build trusted relationships with clients as a technical advisor
- Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts (upsell, cross-sell, renewals)
- Enable sales teams through joint meetings, technical presentations, and solution training
Requirements
- Proven experience in IT Sales Engineering or technical pre-sales roles
- MSP experience required (managed services, cloud, networking, cybersecurity, backup/DR)
- Demonstrated success supporting or achieving sales targets in recurring revenue models
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, environments, and solution design
- Experience creating proposals, SOWs, and technical solution recommendations
- Relevant IT certifications (Network+, Security+, MCP, MCA, MCSE or similar)
- Strong client-facing communication skills, comfortable presenting to executives and technical stakeholders
- Highly motivated, results-driven, and collaborative
