Software Engineer (Backend Focus, SE3) [D.25.0194]

Description: This role will be on a fast-moving software engineering team supporting several UIs in a microservice ecosystem. Project management is done using feature driven development. The team is highly collaborative, and engineers are encouraged to help drive system design. The candidate will be working with mission very closely and interacting with customers daily with a focus on UI development., * Develop and maintain web applications that interact with Java microservices.

• Work closely with tech lead on technical decisions and product roadmap.
• Resolve challenging software engineering design problems.
• Interact with customer to resolve issues and propose new features.
• Support testing and deployment of production applications.

• Experience with design, debugging, and problem solving with JavaScript / typescript.
• Experience with Vue, React, or a similar frontend framework.
• RESTful web application experience.
• Interacting with MongoDB or similar database technology.
• Automated testing.

Nice to Haves:

• Full stack experience with a focus on Java or a JVM based language.
• Kafka experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Linux administration experience.
• Experience with automated build tools, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
• Experience with AI tools such as Claude Code.

YOE Requirement: 12 yrs, B.S. or 4 additional yrs in place of B.S.

Salary Range: ~$265k per year with an additional ~$66k in immediately vested company 401(k) contributions
