Sr. Java backend developer

As a Senior Java Backend Developer, you will make an impact as the primary point of contact for all Java domain-related queries and issues. You will be a valued member of the team and work collaboratively with management, team members and client.

Based on this role's business requirements, this is an Hybrid position it will require you to be onsite for 3-4 days in a client or Cognizant office. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Design and develop robust software applications using Springboot Microservices to meet business requirements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software components

• Implement best practices to enhance performance and scalability

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

• Oversee code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.effectively.

• 6- 8 years of relevant work experience

• Strong proficiency in Springboot Microservices and Java.

• Expertise in Commerce Full Stack Engineering with Java.

• Minimum of 6 years of software development experience.

• Deep understanding of API design, microservices, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, performance optimization, and secure coding practices.

• Excellent problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model.

• Strong communication skills

The annual salary for this position is between $112,000 - $132,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
