Job description
This is a Second Shift role with hours of: 2:30pm to 10:00pm
- Perform visual and dimensional inspection of in-process and finished kit assemblies
- Perform incoming inspection of purchased parts/materials.
- Perform visual inspection of welds
- Must be able to create inspection reports and maintain records of welding procedures, welding qualifications and inspection results.
- Must be able to create inspection reports utilizing GD&T methods and determining the proper equipment necessary to inspect features accurately.
- Identify and document non-conformance reports
- Must be able to interpret and apply GD&T at a Master Level. This includes determining the acceptance/rejection criteria when defining the methods and techniques for inspection.
- Follow written and verbal instructions
- Measure, monitor, improve, and control KPI's.
- Follow all policies and procedures including safety guidelines
- Identify and suggest areas of improvement to strive towards a continuous improvement organization; as required, participate in events and other improvement activities
- Identify and document non-conformance reports
- Actively participate, demonstrate and promote a culture of awareness, personal choice, peer support and continuous improvement relative to safety and quality
Requirements
- High school Diploma/GED
- 5-7 years of QC inspection experience in an industrial manufacturing environment required
- Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency using standard inspection methods and gages to inspect bar stock, castings and machined components is required
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, gauge blocks is required
- Ability to lift or move up to 35 pounds is required
- Intermediate proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is preferred
- Technical ability to read/interpret engineering drawings, pipe and instrument diagram (P&ID), and industry/customer/supplier specifications is required
- Ability to work in a team setting is required
- Organizational skills to manage constant workflow and changing demands are required
- Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy is required
- Written and verbal skills adequate to communicate with other team members and internal/external customers are required
- Self-starter, ability to work under minimal supervision is required, * Associate degree or higher education
- ASQ Certification - Certified Quality Inspector, Certified Calibration Technician is preferred
- Other Certifications - AWS CWI QC-1, ASNT SNT-TC-1A PT, MT Level II is preferred
- Familiarity with ASME, ASTM standards are preferred

The hourly rate of pay for this position is $28 - 36 per hour. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
