Senior Software Engineer

As a software engineer for General Dynamics Mission Systems in Quincy, MA, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for designing and developing state-of-the-art applications for unmanned undersea vehicles. You will work on software encompassing the full life cycle of these systems, from embedded control code to GUI-based topside tools for planning and monitoring missions.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience., CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required., * Experience developing software for autonomous government systems.

• Excellent programming skills, specifically in C++.
• Able to work both independently and as part of a product development team.
• Linux and Windows experience is highly desirable; hardware experience is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
