Job description

- 60%: Develop, test, maintain and document Microsoft Power Platform and D365 solutions\r
- Deliver all development and test applications and results to agreed upon specifications in agreed upon time frames (or coordinate with supervisor in advance if time frames do not appear to be able to be met)\r
- Conduct thorough testing and document results\r
- Identify and implement best practices for naming conventions, environment strategies, security and application life-cycle management\r
- Implement all applications such that the applications and associated architecture and integrations are performing well, secure, and are managed in a way that does not cause disruption or data integrity issues\r
- Promote applications successfully through appropriate environments while maintaining proper change control (including documentation and rollback procedures)\r
- Produce technical documentation that is suitable for application support\r
- 20%: Mentor and guide DPOR staff in the development and use of solutions using the Power Platform / D365 tool and provide technical consultation, training and guidance on best practices, solution design and governance standards\r
- 10% : Collaborates with business users and IT leads to understand and document solution requirements and functionality. Develops comprehensive solution documentation, including operational support manuals, user guides, workflow diagrams and training materials\r
- 10%: Actively coordinates with the Virginia Information Technology Agency (VITA) that provisions DPOR's Power Platform and D365 Environments to administer the environments\r
- Engages with appropriate VITA and DPOR personnel in agreed upon timeframe to ensure that all assigned applications are running appropriately, securely and in a performant manner.\r
- Verifies that application data, integrations and environments are properly secured, backed up, retained and recoverable in accordance with approved backup schedules and disaster recovery standards\r
Requirements

- 5+ years of experience with Power Platform, including Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven), Dataverse, Power Automate, and Power Pages\r
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service module\r
- 3+ years of experience in role-based security configuration within Power Platform and D365\r
- 3+ years of experience with solution management, including managed/unmanaged solutions, environment variables, and reusable components\r
- 3+ years of experience with SharePoint Online architecture and security fundamentals\r
- 2+ years of experience in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for UI customizations\r
- 2+ years of experience working in Agile environments, including backlog refinement and stakeholder communication\r
- 3+ years of experience in solution architecture, data modeling, performant querying, Azure Functions, and API integrations\r
- 3+ years of experience with custom components, reusability patterns, and custom connectors\r
- 1+ year of experience implementing accessibility compliance standards (Section 508 / WCAG)\r
- 2+ years of experience with CI/CD tools, including Power Platform Pipelines and GitHub\r
- 2+ years of experience in unit testing and test automation\r
- 2+ years of experience with DevOps tools and practices\r
- 2+ years of experience in security, governance, and environment strategy (DLP policies, role-based security, least privilege access)\r
- 2+ years of experience in mentoring and training team members\r
- 3+ years of experience demonstrating strong communication, problem-solving, documentation, and cross-team collaboration skills\r
