A growing IT company in Torrance, CA, is seeking a Japanese-Bilingual Solutions Engineer to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation. This is a specialized role designed exclusively for current or former developers who wish to transition into a more client-facing, strategic position. You will leverage your "scratch development" background to design scalable architectures, lead pre-sales activities, and ensure the successful delivery of technical projects. This role requires business-level fluency in Japanese and English., * Technical Discovery: Partner with the sales team to lead technical discovery sessions, uncovering the prospect's current architecture and business requirements.
- Solution Design: Architect custom solutions and workflows that integrate our product into the customer's existing tech stack.
- Product Demonstrations: Deliver high-impact, tailored product demonstrations that focus on "value" rather than just "features."
- Proof of Concept (PoC): Manage the technical evaluation process, ensuring successful PoCs and trials by overcoming technical hurdles.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as the "voice of the customer" for the Product and Engineering teams to influence the product roadmap based on market feedback.
- Technical Documentation: Create and maintain technical collateral, such as implementation guides, RFP responses, and architecture diagrams.
Working Hours, Working style Monday - Friday; 8:00 - 17:00 (Flexibility may be needed for coordination with team members overseas)

Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role (Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Technical Consulting).
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of APIs, SaaS architecture, and Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Coding Skills: Ability to read and write code (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or SQL) to build prototypes or troubleshoot integrations.
- Communication: Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex technical topics for non-technical audiences.
- Problem Solving: A "get it done" attitude with a knack for finding creative workarounds to technical blockers.
Preferred:
- Experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Experience with Power Automate Desktop (RPA).
- Experience coordinating cross-border teams.
