Job description
As a Sr. Software Development Engineer in Test (Mobile) on the PayPal Ads Engineering team, you'll design and execute comprehensive manual and exploratory tests to ensure seamless, high-quality mobile releases across iOS and Android. You'll collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to validate new features, assess end-to-end ad experiences, and ensure a consistent, high-trust user journey. In this role, you'll own the testing lifecycle - defining test strategies, conducting regression and feature validation, managing release readiness, and driving continuous quality improvements. You'll also identify opportunities to build or extend lightweight automation frameworks and tools that reduce manual effort, improve coverage, and enhance testing efficiency across the Ads platform., * Delivers complete solutions spanning all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) (design, implementation, testing, delivery and operations), based on definitions from more senior roles.

Requirements
- 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience., * 5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with mobile test automation for Android and iOS platforms.
- Hands-on knowledge of testing frameworks such as Appium, Espresso, and XCTest.
- Programming experience in Python, NodeJS, Kotlin, or Swift.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to clearly communicate findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
