Lead the design and development of Dataiku workflows to support regulatory reporting automation, data mining, and advanced analytics use cases.

Build and maintain scalable data pipelines, transformation logic, and analytical datasets using Dataiku, SQL (Snowflake), and Python.

Perform deep data mining and exploratory data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, data quality issues, and control gaps impacting regulatory reporting.

Partner with Regulatory Reporting, Data Governance, and upstream data owners to define critical data elements, data quality rules, and monitoring metrics.

Support automation of regulatory reporting processes, including MDRM mapping, rule logic, validation frameworks, and exception management workflows.

Conduct root cause analysis of data quality issues, reconciliation breaks, and reporting variances, leveraging analytical tools rather than manual processes.

Translate regulatory and business requirements into detailed technical and functional requirements for data and analytics solutions.

Support governance activities, including Regulatory Reporting Working Group and Governance Committee meetings, issue management, and stakeholder communications.

Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with a strong bias for execution and accountability.
Requirements
Mizuho is seeking a seasoned Vice President to drive the automation, data analytics, and strategic uplift of the Regulatory Reporting function. This role will have a strong emphasis on Dataiku-based development, data mining, and advanced analytics to support regulatory reporting, data quality, and control frameworks across high-risk regulatory reports, including FR Y-9C, FR Y-15, FFIEC 031, FFIEC 002, and FFIEC 009. The ideal candidate combines strong technical and analytical capabilities with the ability to translate complex data into actionable regulatory and business insights., + Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; advanced degree or certification preferred.

6+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, regulatory reporting, or related functions within a financial services or banking environment.

Hands-on experience developing solutions in Dataiku, including visual recipes, code recipes, automation scenarios, and productionized workflows.

Strong data mining and analytical skills, with the ability to work directly with large, complex datasets.

Proficiency in SQL (preferably Snowflake) and Python (e.g., pandas, numpy) for data transformation and analysis.

Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrated experience performing root cause analysis on complex data issues.

Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications - Nice to Haves

Familiarity with U.S. regulatory reports (e.g., FR Y-9C, FR Y-15, FFIEC 031, FFIEC 002, FFIEC 009).

Experience with AxiomSL or similar regulatory reporting platforms.

Experience with Power BI, data modeling, and dashboard development.

Familiarity with JIRA and agile delivery models.
Benefits & conditions
The expected base salary ranges from $120,000 - $185,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, including Medical, Dental and 401K plans, successful candidates are also eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
