Job description

  • Become a subject matter expert in the manufacturing, accounting, sales and other business domains your software supports
  • Fulfill the needs of your stakeholders by implementing user stories as high quality, well-tested, and maintainable code
  • Be a proactive participant in team ceremonies such as iteration planning, iteration review, and internal/external demos
  • Help your team to continuously improve by contributing to tooling, documentation, and development practices
  • Participate in end-user support rotation, troubleshooting production issues, and triaging bug reports
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to other developers on the team
  • Maintain robust internal technical documentation and external end-user documentation

Requirements

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience writing production code in a professional setting
  • Strong proficiency in Python
  • Experience writing unit tests and maintaining a large test suite
  • Experience with Object Relational Mapping (ORMs)
  • Proficient knowledge PostgreSQL
  • Comfortable with Docker and container-based workflows
  • Experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work onsite from our facility located at 9901 Silicon Prairie Parkway in Verona, WI, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Previous development experience with Odoo or other ERP platforms
  • API design and systems integration experience
  • Ansible (or similar) infrastructure-as-code platforms
  • Experience deploying and operating software in a primarily on-prem environment
