Job description

The SAP Integration Specialist is a key member of the HRIS team within the Human Resources Department. This position is primarily responsible for supporting all HR-related integrations, with a focus on the SAP SuccessFactors suite.

The SAP Integration Specialist's core responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining integrations from SAP Employee Central to other applications. Serving as a subject matter expert, the specialist ensures the operational efficiency and data integrity of enterprise-level applications. This role is focused on managing day-to-day deliverables and requires the ability to work independently.

This position does not involve managing direct or indirect reports; however, it requires close collaboration with all HR Centers of Excellence (COE) as key stakeholders.

Role Objectives:

  • Design and deploy integration solutions within SAP Employee Central to address complex business needs, facilitating efficient connectivity between HR applications and external third-party systems.
  • Assesses automation options for HR processes and provides expertise on system capabilities and limitations.
  • Maintains and enhances integrations between SAP SuccessFactors and platforms such as Payroll, Benefits, Time Management, retirement providers, recruitment, and other third-party systems.
  • Designs and implements API integrations and interfaces (such as SAP Integration Center, CPI, BTP) to facilitate data transfer from SAP Employee Central to downstream applications.
  • Participates in HR integration testing procedures and provides support during SAP releases to minimize integration-related issues.
  • Collaborates extensively with multiple IT departments, including IT security, to facilitate routine operational tasks such as Active
  • Directory user account creation, Azure user provisioning, and email configuration.
  • Works collaboratively with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and recommend technical solutions aligned with complex business goals.
  • Coordinates with development and design teams to establish and validate user interfaces, as well as define both functional and non-functional requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional experience in SAP SuccessFactors Suite integration is required.
  • Proven experience designing, developing, documenting, and supporting HR integrations with tools like SAP CPI, BTP, Integration Center, and SAP APIs (SOAP and REST).
  • Meticulous attention to detail and superior problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of performing effectively under pressure in dynamic environments.
  • Comprehensive understanding of core Human Resources processes and the employee life cycle.
  • Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated capability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to produce comprehensive system requirement specifications, intricate data flow diagrams, test plans, swim lane diagrams, and process documentation utilizing standardized methods.
  • Operational experience and thorough knowledge of project management methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes.

Benefits & conditions

The anticipated salary range for this role is between $120,000.00 and $173,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.
