Job description

We are looking for a Network Engineer (Level 2) outside of Nashville, TN. He/she must have 5+ years of experience designing, configuring, and troubleshooting enterprise and HPC networks, including strong hands-on expertise in Ethernet and NVIDIA/Mellanox InfiniBand environments. This role partners closely with customers, vendors, and R&D to design network topologies, resolve complex server and TOR/NIC issues, and ensure scalable, secure, high-performance network operations., Working on designing, configuring, and managing internetworks including ethernet and Mellanox/NVIDIA InfiniBand in High Performance Computing environments.

  • Troubleshooting server product networking issues between TOR SW, DAC, and NIC.
  • Analyze the failures and collaborate with R&D team to find out the root cause.
  • Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
  • Configure and install software, servers, routers, and other network devices.
  • Monitor network performance and integrity.
  • Create, oversee, and test security measures.
  • Maintain complete technical documentation.
  • Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability.
  • Research, implement, install, develop, and maintain all network operations including routers, firewalls, switches, access, servers, and network facilities.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree preferred.

  • 5+ years hands-on experience with infrastructure engineering with enterprise network technologies including InfiniBand networks.
  • Strong experience in setting up, configuring, and managing Ethernet and InfiniBand networks.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve network issues.
  • Good understanding of computer systems and other products and services
  • Solid background in network administration and architecture
  • In-depth understanding of communication and routing protocols
  • Familiarity with access control models and network security
  • Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools
  • Solid understanding of network operating systems

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

  • Professional certification preferred (CCNA, CCNP, CCDP)
