CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Direct/Chief Engineer within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. The Technical Director/Chief Engineer role is a senior-level professional with expertise in software architecture, AI/ML systems, and enterprise integration. The Technical Director/Chief Engineer provides high-level technical leadership, guiding strategy, architecture, and execution for complex engineering projects, bridging business goals with technical teams, managing resources, ensuring compliance, and mentoring staff to deliver robust, innovative, and secure solutions within budget and timelines. This position is located in our Arlington, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
. Technical Vision & Strategy: Define technical roadmaps, establish architecture standards, and drive innovation while ensuring alignment with business objectives. . Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, manage, and develop multi-level engineering teams, fostering collaboration, conducting performance reviews, and overseeing training. . Project Oversight: Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to integration, testing, and deployment, ensuring quality and adherence to standards. . Resource & Budget Management: Allocate resources effectively, manage technical budgets, and control costs for projects. . Risk Management & Compliance: Conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and security protocols. . Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary technical liaison, communicating with leadership, clients, vendors, and other departments. . Technical Expertise: Provide deep subject matter expertise, conduct trade studies (AoAs, CoAs), and oversee complex system integration.
Requirements
Education and/or Experience: advanced degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 10 years of experience in technical leadership roles . Security Clearance: TS/SCI with Poly . Certifications: o SAFe Agilist (SA) or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), o SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM), and/or o SAFe DevOps Practitioner (SDP) . Travel: Must be available for worldwide assignment based on mission needs at government-specified locations, including CCMD environments, * Agile Architecture

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $143,500.00 - $310,700.00.
