Job description

Under General Supervision responsible for evaluating, designing and developing technical solutions within the technology functions of the company in accordance with the policies and practices at Orlando Health. Also, this position will be responsible for hands-on analysis and design of various current and new initiatives while maintaining current Orlando Health Systems.

We are looking for a Solutions Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our growing hardware and software network infrastructure in a fast paced rapidly expanding healthcare environment. You will be part of the Product Solutions team that is responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet business objectives and SLAs., * Make ongoing recommendations of solution standards and system configurations.

  • Analyzing the systems and requirements to provide best technical solutions.
  • Define systems requirements and specification.
  • Providing design reviews, planning, developing and resolving technical issues.
  • Driving the analysis, design, and development of a roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive solution architecture viewpoint.
  • Delivering highly complex solution & Design using in-depth knowledge within the business domain.
  • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

Other Related Functions

  • Assist in technical presentations and info-sharing sessions to create a clear and uniform understanding of the new systems to various constituents within
  • Provide Level-2 support and involve in resolution of technical issues as they arise.
  • Responsible for assisting with the overall system design and architecture.
  • Responsible for creating roadmap documents, architectural documents, process documents, standards documents and governance documents.
  • At times, responsible for assisting with client and project engagements to document technical requirements for database, applications, integration, infrastructure, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring network performance
  • Administrating various devices and services routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, WiFi
  • Maintaining systems software (upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations)
  • Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
  • Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
  • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
  • Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company's security team
  • Work with users and other personnel for problem resolution
  • Design, Implement, Deploy LAN/WAN configurations using various types of network infrastructure equipment

Requirements

Do you have experience in Network infrastructure?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, wireless experience and/or Palo Alto firewall experience preferred, Bachelor's degree required. Associate's degree and two (2) years of directly related work experience may substitute for the Bachelor's degree (in addition to the requirements listed in the Experience section). Four (4) years of directly related work experience may also substitute for the Bachelor's degree (in addition to the requirements listed in the Experience section). Licensure/Certification One (1) related certification required - Cisco, Microsoft, VMWare, Citrix, Storage or Cloud. Experience Three (3) years of hands on experience in a technical environment and/or solutions implementation role, including experience with Network Infrastructure, VoIP, Computing, Virtualization and Storage.

Preferred Experience

  • Deep understanding of networking protocols Ipsec, Hsrp, BGP, Ospf, Redistribution, Summarization, 802.11, QoS, VLAN, VTP, STP, PVST+, RPVST+, Inter VLAN routing & Multi-Layer, IPsec VPN
  • Experience performing wireless site surveys
  • Experience configuring, maintaining/troubleshooting rulesets on various types of firewalls
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
  • University degree in Information systems or a related subject or equivalent experience
  • Network certifications a plus

  • Switches/Routers: Cisco Catalyst 3K/4K/9K , Nexus 2K/5K/7K/9K , ASR10xx
  • Network Management/Monitoring: Cisco Prime, DNA Center, ISE, Panorama, PRTG, Splunk
  • Wireless: Cisco WLAN Controllers 5520, 9800, Catalyst 91XX Access points, Aironet 28xx, 38xx, Ekahau
  • Firewalls: Cisco ASA 55xx, Palo Alto 32xx, 52xx, 7xxx, Microsoft Azure FW
  • Microsoft Azure Networking
