Job description

This role supports the 16th Air Force (AF) Communications Directorate (A6), Cyber Operations Division (A6O), which requires technical, and analytical support in areas relating Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP) services for Air Force and Combatant Command (CCMD) missions.

The A6O has the mission to protect and support the networks, information systems, and the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the data on the Air Force Information Network (AFIN). A6O is tasked to provide comprehensive services for Identify; Protect; Monitor, Analyze, and Detect; Respond; and Sustainment functions to maintain a robust and consistent security environment.

The A6O provides an enterprise support function that affects all AF installations. The A6O develops, prepares, review, implements, and has direct oversight of agency-wide cybersecurity policies, programs, and initiatives., Upon contract award, BTAS will be seeking a CSSP Request For Information (RFI)/Orders/Onboarding Manager (Cybersecurity Project Manager) to support the USAF CSSP mission including cyber readiness and implementation of current and future cyber support., * Provide CSSP Program direction necessary for the realization of effective and efficient security across enterprise-wide IT network and resources.

  • Perform liaison duties between the functional process owners and program managers by identifying technical security-related issues and providing requirements.
  • Manage the development of departmental program objectives and advise on long-and short-term plans required to achieve them.
  • Directly oversee the activities of the Security Operations Center. Apply knowledge of, as well as systems, networks, and data flow capabilities to secure business IT Programs.
  • Evaluate reports by analyzing facts and performing appropriate research and prepare detailed responses in a coherent manner understood by all.
  • Determine appropriate recommendations for unresolved or questionable problems, perform follow-up and solve problems.
  • Submit RFI inquires to appropriate entities in a coherent manner understood by all.
  • Research and determine or recommend appropriate actions or interpretation of issues that impact organization, installation, command, or agency.
  • Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data through the analysis, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security tools and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.
  • 10+ years' experience in Cyber Security/IT.
  • DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) certification.
  • IAM/IAT level II certification.
  • Knowledge of Non-Classified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNet) technologies, Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet) technologies, and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publications.
  • Knowledge of NIST Publication 800-series guidance, Technical Orders, Federal Laws and supporting Department of Defense publications, DISA Secure Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Web Servers, Database Servers, virtual systems, and network devices., Must be able to operate a computer and other standard office equipment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, 80%.
