Job description
This position focuses on providing comprehensive technical support across end-user devices, cybersecurity, and laboratory IT systems. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth IT operations, resolving technical issues, and maintaining compliance with security protocols., * Respond to incoming IT and cybersecurity tickets via phone, email, ticketing systems, and instant messaging apps.
- Provide Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 operational and technical support for:
- End-user laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
- MFA issues, password resets, endpoint security alerts, VPN access, and GxP-regulated systems.
- Operating systems (macOS, Windows) and standard business software.
- Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).
- Power BI, Power Apps, and other internal business applications.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Microsoft Entra ID and Azure AD.
- Handle user onboarding/offboarding, including account setup, device provisioning, and access reviews.
- Escalate unresolved issues to senior IT staff or external vendors as needed.
- Document support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the help desk system.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and internal IT procedures.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including endpoint protection, firewall rules, multi-factor authentication, and patch management.
- Monitor security alerts, perform basic incident response, and conduct vulnerability assessments.
- Triage security incidents, document findings, and escalate to IT leadership when necessary.
- Assist with vendor security reviews and third-party risk management.
- Provide technical support for lab computing environments, including LIMS/ELN systems, imaging software, and scientific workstations.
- Troubleshoot connectivity between lab instruments and network storage systems.

Requirements
- Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving technical issues across various platforms and devices.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications, macOS, Windows, and cloud-based systems.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, including incident response and vulnerability assessments.
- Experience with laboratory IT systems and scientific workflows is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation.
- Willingness to work extended hours when required.
