The Systems Engineer supports the design, analysis, and sustainment of ground-based ELINT, EW, and SIGINT systems, working with intelligence analysts, engineers, and operators to characterize adversary electronic orders of battle, analyze threat radar systems, and assess blue force detection and interception capabilities. Responsibilities include system and subsystem analysis, architecture decomposition, requirements and algorithm development, integration, verification, and lifecycle support, as well as researching and applying advanced RF signal processing and machine learning-based classification techniques. The role collaborates across multi-functional teams to improve CONOPS, CONEMP, and TTPs, supports all phases of SIGINT operations, conducts technical analysis of foreign threat systems, develops countermeasures, and provides engineering guidance, training, and resource management while ensuring timely execution and staying current with SIGINT and EW technology advancements.
Requirements
- Expertise in electronic warfare systems and operations, including jamming, deception, and exploitation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to represent PL SSW at industry events and conferences.
- Ability to translate Army Capability Manager requirements into actionable goals and system requirements necessary to develop effective collection strategies.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of databases and software applications for EW operations.
- Experience developing presentations for support activities and/or higher headquarters to summarize results of actions against predetermined plans, current status or plans, progress, deficiencies, and outstanding accomplishments.
- Experience with conducting analysis, subsystem analysis, architecture/subsystem decomposition, requirements and algorithm design, implementation, integration, verification, and maintenance of ground based ELINT and EW systems.
- Strong knowledge of ELINT systems and subsystems to develop system and subsystem specifications necessary for meeting performance metrics against a given set of threat signals of interest.
- Understanding of supporting technologies including pulse detectors, de-interleaving, pulse descriptor word generation and spectrum survey strategies associated with counter Radar operations.
- Understands and can follow development operations procedures such as source control, change management and release planning for algorithm or other necessary software developments associated with the Government's research.
Preferred:
- Proficiency in X-Midas, MATLAB, Python, and other relevant software tools.
- Experience with GEOINT, MASINT, technical signals exploitation, modeling, and simulation.
- Expertise in geolocation, intelligence reporting, and commonly used analysis tool suites.
- Experience with JEL, JICD4.2, remote ops, and systems integration.
- Proven ability to develop and implement innovative solutions.
- Experience working with government and military customers.
- Preference of MS or Ph.d in electrical engineering or similar field., * Bachelors in electrical engineering or similar field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with SIGINT
