We are a small but fast-growing team of 10+ technology, science, and business professionals united by a single vision. The Opportunity We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to be a foundational hire in our privately funded startup. This is not just a coding role; it is a position of technical leadership. You will own the product lifecycle-from architectural decisions to deployment and sustainment. You are the right fit if you have a product-centric mindset, thrive in a remote, fast-paced environment, and are eager to leverage cutting-edge tools (including AI agents) to deliver high-quality software efficiently. Tasks What You Will Do
- End-to-End Ownership: Work across the full stack (NestJS/React) to develop new features, maintain the existing codebase, and ensure high availability.
- Infrastructure & DevOps: Manage AWS services, IAM (Cognito), improve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), and oversee IaC provisioning using CloudFormation/CDK.
- Technical Strategy: Research solutions, create PoCs, and keep our technology currency and security posture up to date.
- Support & Stability: Provide L3/L4 technical support and promptly address production issues to maintain service quality.
- Collaboration: Communicate frequently with business stakeholders to translate requirements into high-quality deliverables.
Requirements
The Tech Stack
- Frontend: React, TypeScript, SCSS (Modern JavaScript proficiency required).
- Backend: NodeJS, NestJS, Python (Strong Plus).
- Data: PostgreSQL, Redis, DynamoDB.
- Cloud: AWS, CDK
- Search: Elasticsearch, Solr, or OpenSearch (Strong Plus).
- Mobile: Android development experience (Kotlin preferred).
- Integrations: Experience with Shopify (E-commerce) and Zoho (CRM/Deluge scripting) is highly valued., * System Design: Significant experience in full-stack development and system integration. You understand HTTP, REST API design, and networking standards.
- Cloud Native: Deep expertise with AWS, Docker (Compose), and Linux environments.
- AI-Enhanced Workflow: You are comfortable using AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) to accelerate development and refactoring.
- Version Control: Advanced use of git is non-negotiable.
