Job description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to develop aerospace software with a strong emphasis on ARINC 615/615A, secure data loading, and secure communications. This role involves working on export-controlled programs supporting avionics systems and requires the ability to lead design, implementation, and integration of mission-critical software., * Lead development of software solutions utilizing ARINC 615 and ARINC 615A data loading standards
- Design and implement secure data loaders and secure communication protocols
- Integrate software with avionics systems, networks, and aircraft maintenance environments
- Ensure compliance with export-controlled requirements (ITAR/EAR) and internal security processes
- Collaborate with systems engineers, hardware teams, and certification specialists
- Mentor engineers and contribute to architectural decisions and code reviews
- Support verification, documentation, and certification aligned with aerospace guideline

- U.S. Person under ITAR (citizen or permanent resident)
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including aerospace or avionics systems
- Hands-on expertise with ARINC 615/615A, avionics data loaders, and aircraft data interfaces
- Proficiency in C, C++, C#, or Python
- Experience with secure communication protocols (TLS, CMS/PKI, or aerospace-specific secure transport)
- Knowledge of avionics networks (A429, A664/AFDX, or Ethernet-based systems)
- Experience with DO-178C, DO-326A/ED-202A, or similar certification/cybersecurity standards
- Background with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps
- Knowledge of cryptographic key management or secure boot in embedded systems, ITAR Restriction: All candidates for this ITAR restricted position must be one of the following: US Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident, Asylee, Refugee or otherwise lawfully admitted under an amnesty program.
FOUO Designation: This position may require access to work under Federal Contracts under the "For Official Use Only" designation, and as such, you may be limited to access such programs if you are not a US citizen or if you have dual citizenship.
