Job description

CACI is hiring a System Architect at Wright Patterson AFB to design and modernize mission-critical IT systems. Lead the transition from legacy "As-Is" environments to secure, cloud-ready "To-Be" architectures. Responsible for ensuring all system designs comply with federal security standards such as NIST and FedRAMP, while aligning with the DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) or the Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF)., * Framework Alignment: Develop and maintain architectural artifacts and views using frameworks like DoDAF 2.02 to ensure organizational interoperability.

  • Modernization Strategy: Create strategic roadmaps for cloud (AWS GovCloud or Azure Government) and the adoption of DevSecOps practices.
  • Cybersecurity Standards: Understanding of DoD 8140/8570 compliance, RMF, and FedRAMP
  • Stakeholder Governance: Present technical strategies to agency leadership to justify technology investments.
  • Interoperability: Design systems that facilitate secure data sharing between different government domains and external agencies.
  • Supports advanced prototyping, unique system development, standard and agile software/ application development, cloud-based engineering, database design, software quality assurance, network security, and infrastructure operations.
  • Defines information processing architectures for future programs.
  • Defines and manages IT and software integration plans.
  • Perform systems architecture definition to enable well managed, coherent, low-risk, secure, and comprehensive technical solutions and associated program execution.
  • Develop and implement value-added workflows against complex and large datasets across the Center, DoD, Intelligence Community (IC), Allies, and others that accelerate accomplishment of analytical priorities.
  • Develops and presents briefings to executives and senior level customer personnel.
  • Very strong analysis and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in programming languages, such as Java, Python, and C- Knowledge of cloud computing and emerging technologies, and familiarity with Linux, AWS, Azure, and SQL Server

Requirements

Required:

  • Experience: 12+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years specifically in enterprise or system architecture within a federal or defense environment.
  • Technical Tools: Experience with modeling tools
  • Ability to pass NACI background investigation

The proposed salary range for this position is

$98,500-$206,800
